Stupid Day off

I was sitting in one of the extravagent lounges at Court thinking of what I was going to do today. I had my first day off in years and I had no clue what to do. I didn't even want a day off but Lissa made me and Christain and Dimitri agreed, they said I worked to hard and needed time to relax. I hated leaving Lissa, she may have agallion other Guardians but it bugged me I wasn't around to be the one protecting her. I knew she was safe though cause of the bond and I would be there in a flash if something went wrong so I guess I could chillout. The only problem is I have no one to hang with! If Christian wasn't busy I'd hang with him, that way I'd have entertainment and still see Dimitri but unfortunatley he is and Dimitri is with him. Even my daughter was busy, wel she had an excuse she was in school. Some day off this is.

Walking around bored, Ruby came across one of the finer lounges in the Court. Seeing Rose she smiled and walked over. "Auntie Rose! What are you doing here? I thought you would be kicking ass somewhere?"

Reaching up to play with her newest piercing on her ear, she smiled and sat on the couch in front of Rose.

I laughed at the comment my niece made, she knew me so well. "I would if there was ass to kick." I told her smiling. Ruby wasn't my blood niece but she might as well be, she could have been another child of mine and Dimitri's just like Elena would with Lissa and Christian. "What about you? Should be at school or with a tutor?" I asked her. I know I wasn't exactly the most rule following person but Lissa would kill me I knew Ruby was skipping classes

Grinning Ruby leaned back, "Mum and dad wanted to talk to me so I was taken out of school. My tutor.. lets say he is in a little trouble at the moment" She smirked and relaxed. Knowing she had locked him in the closet with some random person.

I shook my head. "Maybe you spend too much time with me, you do things I would do back in high school." I told her fighting the urge to smile. I can't say I'm happy of the things she does but I can't help but be a little proud, she was a pretty clever kid.

Grinning, "That sounds fantastic Auntie. What are you doing here anyway? I thought you would be Mum or Uncle Dimi?"

"I would but your mom and dad and Uncle Dimitri all decided I needed a day off. So now I am sitting here being bored out of my mind." I told her. Thinking about it again I really wish I didn't have this day off.

Laughing Ruby started to think, "So want to bring back your childhood and go so something?"

I looked at Ruby with both suspicion and curosity. I knew she was up to something. "I know I shouldn't ask this because I should be the adult here and its going to get me in trouble but what you have in mind kid?" I was letting my curiousity get the best of me and like they saying goes, curiousity killed the cat.

"Well... you know there are guardians all around. Why don't we try to sneak past them and pull a prank?" Ruby asked. She smirked at the thought of playing a prank on one of the guardians.

Pulling a prank on a Guardian. Thats something I would do back in high school but now I am a Guardian and not mention her mother's. Lissa would more then kill me sh'd torture me for acting like a kid again and getting Ruby in trouble. "I don't know Ruby, your mom would kill me and plus I've grown out of all that stuff." I said.

"But Auntie! Think of it like training, to see if I can sneak past shigroi." She whined and tried to convince Rose to go along with it.

"Well maybe..." I started. Christian was all for Royals learning to fight to protect themselves so he might not have a problem and I haven't gotten and talk from Liss or Christian about not teaching Ruby to fight. "If I do this you have to promise that whatever gets us in trouble was your idea and I had no part in it." I said. I really shouldn't be doing this.

Smirking Ruby cheered a little bit, "YES! Now I can have some fun!" She did a little dance in her seat. She wasn't worried about getting caught. It would show the guardians where to train more if they did. She was also the princess if she needed to she would pull that card.

"I'm so going to regret this..." I said getting up out of my chair. "Alright kid, whats the plan?" I asked. Maybe I should enjoy this, its been so long since I got to have fun like this.

Jumping up Ruby grinned. "Alrighty, we need to find a guardian and then sneak by without then knowing. Then we have some fun" She smirked and fiddled with her earring again.

"Well theres Guardians whereever your mom and dad are or any other powerful Royal Moroi, so that gonna be hard to do." I said. I knew where Guardians were posted but they were around alot of people.

Blowing a Razzberry at Rose, Ruby giggled, "Mum and Dad are going to catch us if we go there. Mum always knows when I'm about to get into trouble." Shrugging Ruby thought for a second. "Oh why don't we go to the spa and check out the guardians there?"

"Alright lets go." I said walking with Ruby to the spa, maybe she'll get bored and we can relax instead that way I can't get in trouble. I was so mean letting Ruby take the rap of getting in trouble but hey she gotta learn, I did, sort of.

Grinning Ruby walked by her Aunt and thought about the spa... 'Hmm I haven't been there in a while. I guess I could save the prank for another day.' She thought to her self. "So Auntie why didn't you just go to the spa and relax instead of pouting in the waiting room thing." She tilted her head to the side and didn't realize she was about to run into a wall.

"Well first off watch where your going when your walking and talking and two because I'm not used to it." I said honestly. I still couldn't do alot of the things I wanted so I wasn't used to having time for myself and doing things I've always wanted to do/

Smirking Ruby shrugged "I watch where I'm going. Why do you think I missed the wall that was trying to attack me?" She chuckled and thought about what Rose said. "I'm pretty sure Mum said you two went to the spa at least once a month. She likes her girl time," she said rolling her eyes a little. "I don't know why it has to be at the spa. I'd rather learn to defend myself than be pampered to."

I laughed at Ruby, her and Elena were such dorks. "I mean persoanlly, like with this day off, I didn't think about it because I'm not used to doing what I want to do. Your mom comes first." I said. Even though I had Elena and Dimitri to think about they understood that Moroi always come first. "Speaking of, has your dad let you join our classes yet?" I asked.

"Yes I understand that but there are times I wish there weren't differences between us. I want to learn to fight and protect myself. Dad is alright with me learning, but Mum doesn't want me to fight. She wants me to be a proper princess" Rolling her eyes Ruby shrugged her shoulders. She wanted to learn to protect herself and not have to rely on people to protect her.

"Want me to talk to your mom for you?" I asked. Besides Lissa and our kids Christian and I agreed that Morois should learn to fight and protect themselves so maybe we could both talk to Lissa so she could hear both sides.
